ABSTRACT
2In this chapter it has been carried out an extended revision of magnetic nanocomposites based on block copolymers and magnetic nanoparticles, analyzing different techniques used by different authors to disperse and selectively place magnetic nanoparticles in block copolymer matrix. These techniques varies from the use of low molar mass molecules, to the use of polymeric brushes to improve the compatibility between nanoparticles and the matrix. In addition, different methods to modify nanoparticle surface with polymer brushes have been studied (grafting to, grafting through and grafting from), explaining the differences between them and also the advantages and disadvantages of each method.
