ABSTRACT
“Recycling carbon” is necessary for stepping from the linear- to the circular C-economy. Either the direct conversion of captured CO2 from concentrated sources or the use of biomass, which uses atmospheric CO2, can be the winning strategies, better if combined. The integration of biotechnology 58and catalysis may fasten the large-scale conversion of CO2 in a man-made C-cycle, which may complement the natural one and save fossil-C for future generations.
