ABSTRACT
The Mexican Petroleum Institute is the most active research and development organization in Mexico in the hydrocarbon industry. An number of its technologies are already implemented in the industry, particularly by PEMEX; however, there are many others that have not been implemented yet in the industry, not because technical issues but the lack of an integrated value chain to bring new technologies to the local industry.
