ABSTRACT

This chapter covers the criteria for analyzing a multitask job based on an annual cycle, using a specially designed Excel worksheet: multi-task jobs with annual cycles. It begins with the worksheets into which, as for a standard OCupational Repetitive Actions (OCRA) checklist, the number and duration of breaks and the nonrepetitive tasks present in the shift are entered, in order to obtain the net duration of the repetitive work. The chapter shows the results of the risk assessment produced using the OCRA checklist for the study of biomechanical overload of the upper limbs. It summarizes the awkward upper limb postures, showing their percentages within the cycle in question. The chapter shows the proportional distributions of the various back and leg postures as a whole. In the software, this worksheet also includes another diagram summarizing the percentage distribution of postures within the overall job that are totally unacceptable according to ISO 11226.
