On the equilibrium width of rivers with cohesive erodible banks

The prediction of the equilibrium configuration of river cross section has fascinating researchers since a long time. This contribution investigates the equilibrium conditions of rivers with cohesive erodible banks, following the physically based approach recently proposed by Francalanci et al. (2019). Here we focus on the estimate of the velocity at bankfull conditions and on the effect of bank form roughness on the prediction of equilibrium width.
