ABSTRACT

In this chapter, the author presents the control techniques for operation and power management of the DC microgrid (DCMG). The proposed smart DCMG consists of various distributed generations (DGs), various DC and AC loads, and energy storage systems. In this chapter, a control technique for coordinated control of DGs for energy management in the DCMG has been proposed, under various operating modes. Another control technique has also been developed for connecting the one-phase AC loads to the DCMG through the one-phase voltage source inverter. The performance analyses of the proposed controllers along with the DCMG have been carried out in this chapter.
