ABSTRACT

Drones are used in every field of life, and if somebody hacks or gain controls of a drone illegally, it may put many people’s lives in danger. This chapter aims to expose those vulnerabilities and tries to eliminate them by using both software simulations and hardware. The need to design an effective lightweight security algorithm which will use less processing power and hence resources is of utmost importance when it comes to drones because of their size and power limitations. Many robots are also built to work in extreme difficult situations and environments where humans cannot. The drones need to be efficient in design especially in terms of communication security because of their great number of applications nowadays. For fast communication, Nagle algorithm is disabled which will break down a large packet into small packets. The advantage of this approach is that the data can leave the AP as it arrives in the serial buffer, without waiting.
