The chapter describes proven health promotion strategies at schools, workplaces, and communities, including the impact of these promotion strategies in shaping healthy behaviors. The governance principles for ensuring health promotion in various settings include integrating health as a core consideration in all policies; addressing all determinants of health including social, environmental, and economic aspects; promoting strong community engagement; reorienting health and social services toward equity; and assessing and monitoring well-being, the burden of disease, and health determinants.
