ABSTRACT
Revascularization Endarterectomy vs. Stent Trial (CREST) recently
amended the protocol to include asymptomatic patients with at least 70%
stenosis. Since this study is enrolling low-to-medium risk patients, it will
provide valuable information regarding whether the role of stenting should
be expanded for asymptomatic patients in the future.
