Answer: (c) 1% of Wilms' tumor patients are afflicted with the WAGR syndrome. Denys-Drash syndrome consists of mesangial sclerosis, pseudohermaphroditism and Wilms's tumors. There have been reports of Wilms' tumors associated with Soto's syndrome. The syndrome consists of excessive growth in the first 2 years of life, mental retardation, hypotonia and speech impairment. Patients with BWS have an incidence of Wilms' tumor of 10-20%. CHARGE syndrome consists of failure of ability to close the eye, heart defects, blocked nasal passages, mental retardation, underdeveloped sexual organs and ear abnormalities. This syndrome is not associated with Wilms' tumors.
