Diagnosis Liposarcoma includes a broad group of tumors that can occur in any site throughout the body.

When diagnosed in the retroperitoneum, they are frequently typed as low-grade liposarcoma. In the retroperitoneum and intra-abdominal sites, liposarcoma may be huge in size and provide considerable technical challenge (Figure 7.16).
