Incidence, prevalence by site and type In the USA, the incidence of soft tissue sarcoma is approximately 7000-8000 new cases per year. This incidence is comparable to that of tumors of the testis and of the tongue (Figure 2.1). These tumors account for approximately 1% of all adult malignancies and 15% of pediatric malignancies.
