ABSTRACT

We have developed a method of vaginal hysterectomy [1] to facilitate the performance of the difficult case in which conventional vaginal techniques yield suboptimal performance. Although the system was originally created to expedite the transvaginal removal of the poorly mobile, non-prolapsed uterus in situations of limited exposure, the authors’ further experience with this approach has demonstrated that it is much simpler, rapid, efficient, and versatile for less demanding cases.
