ABSTRACT
During the last years, we are living a revolution in the field of scientific investigation. Such changes have provided new modern tools with high impact for the different scientific disciplines. This is the case of the molecular biology, that lead us to understand complex biological systems, using the knowledge from different areas. In particular, Assisted Reproduction Techniques use genetics, microbiology, cellular biology molecular biology and biochemistry to diagnose and treat the health of the relatives and their future offspring. Historically, the discipline of molecular biology has already advanced and specially with regard to the development of DNA manipulation techniques, the recent human genome sequencing being an example of it biggest contribution to science. With all of these advantages, we are awaiting a new era in different medical fields and specially in reproductive medicine, that will permit the design of new treatments, drugs, and therapies to achieve a better quality of live.
