ABSTRACT
Historically, embryo transfer (ET) technique is a topic that is less studied compared to other aspects of assisted reproduction. Over the past few years, this has changed and it is now generally accepted that paying a lot of attention to individual variations in transfer technique can positively impact success rates with IVF.1-2 Till recently there have been few randomized studies with large numbers evaluating variations in transfer technique. In this chapter, we will review some of the details of ET technique that impact outcomes. The role of ultrasound-guidance will be discussed in detail, and recommendations regarding the best transf er technique will be made.
