ABSTRACT
The terms vitiligo and leukoderma are used synonymously. However, there are some subtle differences in these conditions. Vitiligo is an acquired disfiguring pigmentary anomaly of the skin, manifested by depigmented white patches surrounded by a normal or hyperpigmented border. These white patches are devoid of melanocytes (1).
