ABSTRACT
In approximately one of five patients with generalized cancer, a major neurological insult will develop and will, in many of them, shorten the patient’s survival and deteriorate the patient’s remaining quality of life. This chapter provides general guidelines for early diagnosis and treatment of these complications. Quite often, the outcome depends not only on what is done but also on how early a treatment is performed. This chapter also discusses paraneoplasia.
