ABSTRACT
Biomarkers are laboratory-derived measurements that relate to a disease process. Many markers are being investigated for Alzheimer’s disease (AD), including biochemical tests in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) or plasma, and a variety of indices of brain function, structure or biochemistry obtained by neuroimaging. This chapter will focus on biochemical markers measured in body fluids.
