ABSTRACT
The present and future arrangements for registration of pharmaceutical products in Europe must be understood against the changing European economic and political structures. Indeed, it is likely that they will become more important as moves are made towards economic, monetary, and political union in the Community. Also, there are increasing links with the newly liberalised governments of Eastern Europe.
