ABSTRACT

Grayscale Technique Sonographic evaluation of a transplanted organ can only be successful if image quality is optimized. This requires the use of newer, more advanced ultrasound equipment with adequate penetration for imaging and high sensiti vity for Doppler. Improvements in scanner hardware often permit insonation of the transplant at higher frequencies (7 MHz). Recent software improvements-harmonic and compound imaging-may also improve inherent acoustic contrast.
