ABSTRACT
Transcervical Approach CVS was first performed by Chinese investigators in 1975. Although this technique was not guided by ultrasound, the authors claimed a high success rate for obtaining villi, with a procedure-related miscarriage rate of 5% (7). In 1982, Kazy et al. (8) emphasized the importance of ultrasound guidance for successful CVS.
