ABSTRACT
This chapter reviews relevant anatomy and pathophysiology of anal lesions as well as some of the current limitations in terminology. Anal lesions have been divided into those occurring in the anal canal and margin and further subdivided into malignant and potentially malignant lesions (Table 1).
