ABSTRACT
INTRODUCTION The hand is a unique structure on which dermatologic surgeons often work. Intricate in design and function, its use is vital in our daily lives. Its importance cannot be overstated, and, because of this, any anticipated surgical procedure in this area should be carefully considered with regard to underlying anatomy, innervation, circulation, function, and cosmesis.
