ABSTRACT
Z-PLASTY Background Z-plasty is one of the oldest flaps used in dermatologic surgery. The traditional Z-plasty is essentially two transposition flaps in which there is no defect, and the movement of tissue is performed to realign and move the scar or to increase the tissue length of a closure in a desired direction. Many variations of Z-plasty have been created and used.
