MILD COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) refers to a transitional state between the cognition of normal aging and mild dementia in which people experience memory loss, yet they do not meet currently accepted criteria for dementia or clinically probable Alzheimer’s disease.
