ABSTRACT
Whereas sterilization processes are predictable, many depyrogenation procedures are purely empirical. Many specific instances of applying potent reagents to manufacturing equipment for the purpose of destroying applied endotoxin where one would predict that LPS would easily be demonstrated to be destroyed have only revealed that the LPS has hung on tenaciously defying the concepts of classical depyrogenation.
