ABSTRACT
The history of the evolution of pharmaceutical regulations is, in fact, the history of the social and economic development of North America. During the 19th century when relative political stability was attained, economic life started to grow. The growth of farming communities, establishment of industries, increase in trading activity, necessitated the gradual development of laws and regulations to organize and regulate the national standards and requirements.
