ABSTRACT
The highly variable clinical course of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) may be
further complicated by the development of autoimmunity or a histologically distinct
aggressive lymphoma (Richter’s syndrome). Although there has been significant progress
in our understanding of the pathogenesis of these complications, they continue to present
major management challenges.
