ABSTRACT
CHALLENGING CASE A 60-year-old woman with a strongly positive family history of colorectal cancer undergoes a colonoscopy. She has a 1.5 cm pedunculated polyp snared from the transverse colon. Five days after the colonoscopy the patient experienced two bloody bowel movements. She presents to the emergency room with a heart rate of 120 and a blood pressure of 100/70.
