ABSTRACT
For thousands of years, China was known for its system of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Until 100 years ago, Western drugs began to be used in China. Since then, some local companies began to produce Western drugs, but most of these drugs are generics, and no substantive clinical trials were conducted prior to approval.
