ABSTRACT
INTRODUCTION IT infrastructure comprises communication networks, hardware (e.g., servers, peripherals), operating systems (including service packs and patches), IT services, clients, infrastructure applications and facilities (e.g., data centers) that provide a platform for successful operation of business applications. Figure 33.1, provides an infrastructure architecture overview adapted from the ISPE GAMP infrastructure guideline (12).
