ABSTRACT
INTRODUCTION Early evaluation of absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion, and toxicity (ADME/Tox) parameters is essential in the drug discovery and development process since information on these parameters possibly eliminates wasted developmental effort and cost on unsuitable compounds, and directs the focus of drug optimization toward more “drug-like” compounds, which eventually become successful drug candidates.
