ABSTRACT

I. Introduction Lobar lung transplantation is an alternative to cadaveric lung transplantation in which a right and left lower lobe from two separate donors are removed and implanted in a recipient in place of entire right and left lungs (1). There are important differences between lobar and cadaveric lung transplantation in terms of donor selection, operative technique, organ preservation, postoperative recipient management, and ethical issues regarding the use of live organ donors.
