ABSTRACT
Treatment of childhood and adult cancer with potentially sterilizing radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy may result in premature ovarian failure. Besides embryo and oocyte freezing, cryopreservation of ovarian tissue before cancer treatment is now a potential alternative for safeguarding fertility in women at risk of premature menopause.
