ABSTRACT
Evolution of Slings Over the last century, hundreds of surgical procedures have been developed to treat SUI. For the most part of the century, the anterior colporrhaphy with Kelly plication became the principal treatment of SUI. This popularity was because of its vaginal approach and low morbidity. Numerous studies have compared anterior colporrhaphy with Kelly plication to retropubic urethropexy or sling procedures and showed lower success rates with anterior colporrhaphy with Kelly plication.
