ABSTRACT
Hypospadias is the abnormal development of the anterior urethra in which the external urethral opening can be located on the ventrum of the penis anywhere between the proximal glans penis (Fig. 19.1) and the scrotum or perineum. The penis is more likely to have associated ventral shortening and curvature (chordee) with more proximal urethral defects.
