ABSTRACT

INTRODUCTION Medicines are manufactured because they have a profound effect on the lives of humans. When administered appropriately, medicines can improve lives enormously and save countless lives. Administered inappropriately, these same products can effect devastating consequences for the individual. And, as the health care industry develops more effective and specific therapies, these properties are enhanced and intensified with the ultimate goal of creation of the most specific and potent molecules achievable. Unintentionally, due to their own biological nature, humans working to produce these medicines may either harm or be harmed by these same therapeutic products.
