ABSTRACT
The following is a list of important publications in the field of stress echocardiography. Such a list is necessarily subjective and this compilation by no means claims to be exhaustive, regardless of which criteria for “importance” are applied. A search in Medline’s PubMed facility revealed 6912 papers on “stress echocardiography” in September 2009. Nevertheless, the author believes that the cited papers are indeed instructive and represent important progress in the field. They are arranged thematically despite some topic overlap.
