ABSTRACT

What Makes a Lesion “Complex” in Renal Interventions? In the past decade, stent-supported angioplasty of atherosclerotic renal artery stenosis (RAS) became the treatment of choice and replaced surgery in most cardiovascular centers (1). Recent advances in catheter technology have made the procedure a supposed simple procedure (2). However, anatomical variations and concomitant aortic-pelvic disease can translate the intervention into a challenging procedure.
