ABSTRACT
Most physicians have a familiarity with a profit and loss statement. Unfortunately, the amount of time spent reviewing this statement is usually minimal and is focused only upon the top and bottom line numbers. The numbers in between frequently tell the real story of the practice and physicians need to spend more time looking at them and understanding these.
