ABSTRACT
The primary function of the uterus is to allow the growth and development of a pregnancy. It follows, therefore, that a variety of congenital and acquired abnormalities of the mullerian system can interfere with uterine structure or function, thus contributing toward infertility, pregnancy loss, or preterm delivery.
