Therapy Mild symptoms can be managed with isolation and by “talking-down.” Additional symptoms and their treatments are as follows: convulsions are treated with diazepam, hypertension with antihypertensives (e.g., hydralazine), fever with antipyretics, and severe rigidity and rhabdomyolysis with dantrolene (12,161). There are currently no FDA-approved medications available for detoxification or maintenance of PCP dependence.
