ABSTRACT
GBS sepsis in the control groups of the studies where this outcome was reported ranged from 2% to 9%. This is higher than the overall infection rates of 1% to 3% that are reported in babies whose mothers are colonized with GBS, raising questions as to how representative the populations studied were.
