ABSTRACT

The main issues regarding TOL after CD (attempt at VBAC) are the following: (i) Which women are candidates for TOLAC, and which should instead be recommended a PRCD? (ii) Among women who attempt a TOLAC, what is the VBAC rate (successful TOLAC) and the factors that influence it? (iii) What are the short-and long-term maternal and perinatal benefits and harms of attempting TOLAC versus PRCD, and what factors influence benefits and harms? Complications and safety are especially related to the risk of uterine rupture.
