ABSTRACT

ACTIVITY 1 Find one digital image file and identify its file size when the image is closed. Open the same digital image using image editing software and identify its file size when open (go to the ‘document sizes’ underneath the image window or choose ‘Image Size’ from the ‘Image’ menu). It is common for the file size to be larger when the image is open. If this is the case with the image you have opened, image compression is taking place prior to the file being closed.
