Lightning illuminates the house number as we hear a door slam.
INT: WATSON’S BEDROOM-A FEW MOMENTS LATER
The room is in near-total darkness. There is an indistinct figure in a bed. Rapid steps
advance upon the stairs and a door bursts open. A figure with a candle stands in the
doorway for a moment, contemplating the scene.
