ABSTRACT
Ye Monstrous Pirate Muncher was an image I originally painted for an online creature contest. It was done over a few lunch hours in Photoshop CS and was always meant to be a quick concept (Fig.01). It’s had some great feedback since it has been displayed on my website, so I decided it was time to develop it into a more “finished” illustration. My aim was to give the illustration a more professional finish, without losing any of the concept’s appeal.
