ABSTRACT

Is philanthropic giving by industry’s captains or by corporations donations equivalent to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)? Or, as suggested by Models of Success & Sustainability (MOSS) (www.moss.org.au) Australia’s industry body for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Corporate Sustainability, modern CSR more about how a company makes its money rather than how it spends its money? This and a range of related perspectives will become clearer as the chapter considers the broader context of corporate social responsibility and then its application to the world of spas.
