ABSTRACT

Required by clients 1 .03 Since architects can cause substantial losses, clients will often require architects to provide proof of adequate insurance cover. Standard form agreements often require cover for the same reason: for example, Clause 7.4 of the Standard Conditions of Appointment (see Chapter 30) requires the architect to maintain insurance in the amount stated in the appendix to the agreement, which will be the subject of negotiation between the architect and client.
