ABSTRACT

Katrina had left an indelible mark on Brian Williams. It was the story that defined him as a network anchor, the story that he was determined to own, the story that haunted him in ways that were impossible to explain to anyone who had not seen the devastation firsthand. After making several trips to New Orleans, he had insisted that his wife, Jane, come along. “If you’re going to live with me,” Williams told her, “you’re going to live with this story.”
